This video is of our sister Marina fishing the Lower South Fork yesterday. As you can see the fishing is still great! There is no doubt that women are outstanding fishermen, (or fisherwomen). They take to it faster than men for one reason, they listen.
We love fishing in your area and are always looking for a great outfitter. Please, though, next time you do a video make sure the angler is holding the fish with more care: wet hands are so important and, of course, the less time out of the water the better. Our club promotes catch-and-release fishing, not just in spirit but also in technique. A fish handled by dry hands loses much of its protective layer and kept out of the water loses oxygen, both situations that jeopardizes the life of the fish even if it released. We know you know better…Teton Valley Lodge has been around too long and is too established not to, but a video with your name on it that doesn’t suggest a different practice promotes the wrong idea. Although, this may not be catch-and-release fishing, in which case please ignore this e-mail.
